So, what’s on this week’s OCR “menu” at Baruch College?
McGladrey opened the mid-size accounting week. The event started with a panel discussion followed by “speed networking event.” After the initial panel presentation, during which McGladrey professionals answered frequently asked questions, company representatives were seated together with students – one representative per table.
This allowed students to talk to professionals in small groups, and ask specific questions. After about 10 minutes the professionals rotated, therefore allowing students to network with all levels of professionals, from partner to junior associate.
So, what differentiates the mid-size firms from the Big Four? Well, if you are looking for work-life balance, look no further! Friendly atmosphere, opportunity for growth and professional self-exploration are just some of the benefits stressed by McGladrey, the fifth largest global accounting company – “a global company with a local touch.”
I hope you enjoyed this info session and are ready to apply for internships and full-time positions at McGladrey!
